Our Story
Catholics have gathered for Mass in Rusk for more than a century. What began as a small congregation of families has grown into a parish that still knows one another by name — a place where the person beside you in the pew notices when you are absent and rejoices with you when your family grows.
Our church on 760 S. Main Street remains the heart of that life. The altar, the crucifix and the quiet of the sanctuary have accompanied generations of baptisms, First Communions, weddings and funerals.
Today Sacred Heart of Jesus continues that work: reverent worship, faithful teaching, and practical charity for our neighbors in East Texas.
